But if you wanna watch the Chinese wuxia dramas in HD to revel at the gorgeous costumes and badass martial arts then you shell out the money for HD.

But if you're primarily watching on your computer then I'd go with DF because you can watch Viki without ads if you have adblocker installed, it just won't be in HD. The Thai lankorns you're gonna have to just browse the web for. They just have a better selection, although I'll admit I haven't really browsed their Japanese drama selection that much. Now if you watch other Asian dramas like Chinese and Taiwanese and Japanese dramas I'd go with Viki. Browse their exclusives and that will really help you choose. This was the case for Uncontrollably Fond and My Amazing Boyfriend. DF likes the preproduced ones because they can get the content before it airs and sub it to be released hours or even at the same time as when it's airing in its home country. Viki seems to be picking the bigger hits this year for which shows to have as their exclusives, but who knows if this will continue to be the case. Big hits W and Moonlight Drawn by Clouds are Viki pass exclusives, Uncontrollably Fond and Let's Fight Ghost (Bring it On, Ghost) were DF. They are legit fighting for your eyeballs now and are getting exclusive streaming rights to shows. What it really comes down to though now are the exclusive shows. Having both is just about as much as a Netflix or Hulu account, so if this is your primary entertainment I'd just get both and call it a day. Also because the subtitle option they provide is horrible and almost impossible to read. You will want a premium subscription for whatever one you use (or both) if you want to watch on a TV device thing (fire stick, chromecast, ps3, TV app, etc) although I have found them to be buggy and prefer to connect my cheap Chromebook with an HDMI.

DF and Viki are your big two when it comes to online streaming, and forgive me as I data dump you as my introduction to you all on the merits of the 3 big options (yes, there are 3, I'm getting there).
